Walk-in coolers can harbor viruses, bacteria, mold, allergens, and other pollutants. These contaminants are found on surfaces and in the air. Even in cooler temperatures, they can stay active or infectious for long periods – risking health and lives.
Our affordable ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI or UV) units kill pathogens or render them harmless with UV-C light. UV disinfection extends the life of fresh-cut flowers and produce, reduces mold, and limits the spread of infectious diseases. The UV sanitizing system is suitable for walk-in cooler applications above 32° F.
